Barcelona – PSV

PSV arrived to make a difference, but they were nowhere near. The GOAT were goating today.

Barcelona – 4

PSV – 0

Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele, Lionel Messi, Lionel Messi.

Played at:

Camp Nou.

Barca looks like a team ready to compete for the big eared trophy this year and if they can keep Messi free of injuries, I believe this year could be the year for them to take it from their rivals from Real Madrid. PSV are a team many fears and they have started out great in the dutch league. Against Barca, they took on a bigger force though. With Messi as the leader, Barca walked all over PSV and the game were never in danger for Barca. Can Barca do it for Catalonia this year? They have said, that this is the trophy they are going for, but can they live up to their own expectations? They look dangerous, so let’s see.

Game hero:

Lionel Messi. I’m in awe of this little magician. How can he not be in the final three at FIFA’s “The best”? He must be the greatest the world has ever seen and every football fan out there must be grateful for what we are witnessing. There are a lot of great free kick experts in the football world, but I’m not sure that anyone out there comes even close to Messi in that discipline. I love that little dude – what will Barca do the day he is gone?

Game zero:

Today it must be Umtiti. Samuel Umtiti made a really bad call, when he got his second yellow. It was a challenge he didn’t really needed to get involved in, but de did anyway. He is a great defender and he will keep improving, but that was a very bad decision. Barcelona still loves you Samuel, but next time, stay back and keep the line instead of taking that kind of silly chances.
