Champions to be?
Burnley needed a win and they looked like the winners – for a few minutes.
Burnley – 2
Liverpool – 0
Jack Cork, James Milner, Roberto Firmino, Xherdan Shaqiri.
When we saw the line-up for this match we were worried and hopeful. Worried that it would mean a detruction of the Liverpool reserves, but hopeful that it could cement the fact that Liverpool are now able to make the changes and win. I think it ended up fuelling our hopes. Alberto Moreno are still struggling a bit. Not because of the lack of ability, but because he is a bit nervous. Matip is a big guy, but he looks weak when being put by the side of Virgil. But that’s it if we were looking for weak links. Naby Keita – WOW, Daniel Sturridge played a fair match, Divock Origi got and assist and the Liverpool joker Xherdan Shaqiri got a goal. Over all a great night for all of you redmen out there. Let’s pray for Joe Gomez!
There are absolutely no doubt in my mind that the best player of this match was Naby Keita. He looked like the perfect mix of Michael Laudrup and Ngolo Kante against Burnley. I’m totally in love with his abilities and he is delivering quality, just as promised. I think he will be a Liverpool legend in the future. Let’s see how far he can take it.
I think Joel Matip was the zero of the match, when looking at the individual performances. Alberto Moreno didn’t perform either, but Matip just doesn’t make me feel calm. He is to skinny to be really powerful, he has no speed and he just doesn’t look like a man with the skills to play for Liverpool. Let’s see what will happen with him.
